Kresge's Background Shopping Music

After all the fuss our parent's generation put us through about how our long-haired Rock N Roll was a heathenish communist conspiracy to control our minds, we never once thought that we would one day go grocery shopping to the backdrop of music by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones - Now did we?

Back in 1964, Kresge's broadcasted background music for their shoppers that was specifically recorded just for them. Well guess what? I've got two one-minute samples of their original music for you to download.

This will bring back all those memories of going shopping with your mother down the square. Don't expect any toe-tapping, hip-to-the-beat rhythms or anything like that. We're talking classic elevator music here. Check this out.

The WELLINGTON CIRLE Open-Air Theatre

Relive those magic summer nights at the WELLINGTON CIRCLE Open-Air theatre. Listen, once again, to all the hype they piped out at you to get you to run down to the concession stand for some mouth watering tasty treats.

You'll also hear directions on how to properly exit the Drive-in, and one last warning about removing that "in a car" speaker from your window before driving off.

Any die-hard Glick-Niks out there? Larry Glick was once Boston's most popular radio talk show hosts. His call-in talk show was always full of laughs. Everett's own Rosie LaCours was a regular on the Larry Glick show.

You'll split a gut hearing this funny story from one of Larry Glick's callers. Go back in time to 1968 and listen to Larry Glick tickle your funny bone one more time.

Classic Television Memories

Below you'll find 3 MP3 classic sound snipets from the popular TV shows we watched when we were kids. I even threw in a couple we never paid much attention to because they were shows our parents watched while we sat on the living room floor and played with our toys.
